A New Path: Peter's Discovery of God's Timeless Truth

The answer arrived on March 9th, 2023, when two missionaries from ALIVE-Nigeria knocked on his door in Edo State. They weren't just visitors; they brought with them the unfiltered Word of God. What began as simple readings and prayers soon evolved into consistent, life-altering Bible studies for Peter and his entire family. Though he initially considered stopping the visits, he couldn't deny the warmth and purity of the truths they shared.
Unveiling Ancient Truths
As they delved into Scripture, incredible revelations unfolded. Peter and his family encountered biblical truths they had never before understood the clear picture of Christ's second coming, the profound origins of evil, and the astonishing truth about the Biblical Sabbath. Peter was deeply troubled, grappling with years of Sunday worship. How could he possibly shift his understanding and practice?
Yet, the Bible's authority spoke for itself. They uncovered God's direct command in Genesis 2:2-3 and Exodus 20:8: "Remember the Sabbath day to keep it Holy." Peter pressed further: "Which day is the Sabbath according to the Bible?" The answer, found in Exodus 20:10-11, amazed them all: the seventh day is God's Sabbath! It became clear that Sunday worship was of pagan origin, not a divine commandment.
Transformation and New Beginnings
This profound understanding was just the beginning. After six months of dedicated prayer and study, a major evangelism series was held in Peter’s community. Night after night, as the Word of God was proclaimed, the Holy Spirit worked powerfully in Peter’s heart. The truth that his "body is the temple of the Holy Spirit" resonated deeply, and by God's amazing power, his addictions to drinking and smoking were broken.
Today, we rejoice with Peter! He, his wife, and their four children have embraced this new light. They were baptized, giving their lives fully to Jesus Christ, and are now joyfully fellowshipping as Seventh-day Adventists. Peter's life is a living testimony to the power of God's unchanging Word to bring about radical transformation.
