The Story of a Miracle: When Theresa Walked Again
The impact of our recent mission in Uegwere Boue Rivers State goes far beyond the numbers and statistics we often share. It's in the individual stories of transformation, where faith and compassion meet real-life needs. Today, we want to share one of those stories with you a story of a remarkable miracle that your support helped make possible.
A Cry for Help from a Community Leader
During our initial survey for the mission, we met with the Community Development Chairman (CDC), a retired mathematics teacher and an influential figure in the community. He was instrumental in helping us secure key locations for our outreach, from a local school to the open-air crusade grounds.
He was always willing to help, but one evening, he expressed a deep pain. “You people are only interested in your own affairs and do not care about me,” he said. "I told you I have a sick wife, and your people have been treating others, but you have failed to attend to my problem."
A Promise Kept
His words were a wake-up call. We felt the pain of our oversight and immediately promised to send a medical team to his home. That same evening, a few of our medical missionaries visited his family. What they discovered was heartbreaking: his wife, Mrs Theresa, had not walked for over 15 years. Her condition was compounded by high blood pressure and arthritis, leaving her completely dependent on others.
Our team explained that the first step to her healing would be a change in diet and lifestyle. She initially objected, saying she’d rather remain in her condition than give up certain foods. But our team's compassion, patience, and unwavering prayers touched her heart, and she agreed to start the treatment.

A Walk of Faith
In less than a month, God performed a miracle. Mrs Theresa, who had been carried for over 15 years, is now able to walk on her own. Her blood pressure has normalized, and the arthritis has drastically improved. Today, there is joy and hope in that family again. We are continuing our care through ongoing Bible studies and medical follow-ups.
This powerful story is a testament to what God can do when we are faithful. It is also a testament to your incredible support. Your generosity fuels our mission, allowing us to not only bring the Gospel but also to meet the physical needs of those we serve.
Thank you for being a part of this amazing journey. May God bless you as you continue to partner with us in His work.
