A Glimpse into the Heart of ALIVE Nigeria Mission in Uegwere Boue: Lives Transformed

How's your journey with Christ going? We are thrilled to share a report from our recently concluded ALIVE Nigeria mission in Uegwere Boue. The journey was challenging, but the Lord's hand was evident every step of the way. Your support made this incredible mission possible, and we are deeply grateful.

A Community in Need

Uegwere Boue is a community steeped in idol worship, with nearly every family having an idol in their compound. We began our mission with a week-long health expo, attending to 221 individuals. This opened doors and built trust within the community. Our open-air meetings, which started the following week, brought a total of 1302 attendees.

We faced incredible spiritual resistance. At one point, a local festival required everyone to be indoors by 8 p.m. for a ritual sacrifice. Yet, our meetings continued until 8 p.m, with an attendance of over 90 persons and the community waited for us to pack up before commencing with the ritual festival. remarkable favor with the community leaders was a powerful sign of God's protection.

Overcoming Challenges and Witnessing Miracles

The first week of Health Expo was marked by relentless rain, which kept attendance low. We prayed for the rain to stop, and God answered. The clouds parted, and attendance soared, with an average of 155 Children and Adults each night. We had only 47 missionaries, but God used this small team to accomplish great things. They conducted 680 one-on-one Bible studies, prayed with 1108 people, and distributed 1949 pieces of literature.

Initially, it seemed that no one would be baptized, but God moved powerfully in the hearts of the people. By the end of the mission, 19 precious souls made a public commitment to Christ through baptism. Amen!

A new Seventh-day Adventist church has been established in Uegwere Boue, with eight missionaries staying behind for the next six months to nurture these new believers. Let's keep praying for the Long Term missionaries and the new believers for grace to walk in the ways of the Lord.
